Welcome to the Simcoe County International Student Program, where high school students from around the world come to experience life in Canada. Our schools offer a safe, supportive environment and a chance to grow academically, socially, and personally.

When to Apply
- The school year runs from September to June
- Entry points: September (Semester 1) or February (Semester 2)
- Apply at least 5 months in advance to allow time for processing and study permits
Who Can Apply
- Secondary school aged students (grades 9 to 12)
- Minimum 65% average (or equivalent) in the two most recent years of study, plus current year
- Students must maintain this academic standard during enrolment

Documents You’ll Need
Have the following ready to upload before you start:
- Passport (photo page with expiry date, country of birth and citizenship)
- School transcripts for the past two years and current year (translated into English)
- Immunization records and any relevant medical information
Homestay Arrangements
We offer safe, welcoming homestays for international students:
- Program Homestay: Select “Need homestay” during your application
- Private Housing: Families may choose to have the student live with a family member or friend, but must provide full contact information, a copy of the custodianship declaration form and proof of medical insurance with minimum CAD $2 million liability coverage.
After You Apply
- Your application and documents are reviewed for eligibility and available space
- If accepted, you will receive a Statement of Fees (application fee, tuition, and homestay fee, if selected)
- Once payment is received, you will be issued a Letter of Acceptance and, if you selected homestay, the Canada Homestay Network (our homestay partner) will send you a link to start the custodianship process.
Study Permit & Arrival
- Use your Letter of Acceptance and proof of payment to apply for a study permit/visa (if required)
- Send a copy of your permit once approved
- Arrive in Canada about one week before classes begin for orientation
