The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) serves a wide range of communities across Simcoe County — from vibrant cities to small historic towns, all surrounded by beautiful lakes, forests, and four-season recreation. Alliston
Alliston is a friendly, growing town known for its community spirit and connection to local industry, including automotive and agriculture. Students enjoy small-town charm, while still being close to larger city amenities.
Angus
Located near Canadian Forces Base Borden, Angus is a supportive community with a strong sense of pride and belonging. It offers students access to nature, recreation, and close-knit neighbourhoods.
Barrie
Barrie is one of Ontario’s fastest-growing cities, set on the shores of Lake Simcoe. With waterfront parks, a lively downtown, shopping, and cultural festivals, it provides international students with both big-city amenities, and a welcoming community feel.
Bradford
Bradford combines a rich farming heritage with modern growth. Located just north of Toronto, the town offers easy access to city life while maintaining a strong community atmosphere and active student life.
Collingwood
Collingwood is a four-season destination, famous for skiing, snowboarding, and outdoor adventure at Blue Mountain Resort, as well as summer waterfront activities on Georgian Bay. Students here experience an active lifestyle in a welcoming small city.
Elmvale
Elmvale is a smaller, close-knit community surrounded by farmland and natural beauty. Students benefit from a supportive learning environment with strong ties to local traditions and community events.
Innisfil
Innisfil sits along the shores of Lake Simcoe and is known for its beaches, parks, and family-friendly neighbourhoods. The community offers students the perfect mix of relaxation, recreation, and easy access to the city of Barrie.
Midland
Midland is located on Georgian Bay and is rich in history and culture. With marinas, waterfront parks, and heritage attractions, it provides students with unique opportunities to enjoy outdoor recreation and learn in a welcoming, historic town.
Orillia
Orillia is a vibrant city on two lakes, known as “The Sunshine City.” It has a strong arts and cultural scene, plenty of recreational opportunities, and a reputation for being safe and student-friendly.
Stayner (Clearview Township)
Stayner is a small town with a strong sense of community, close to Collingwood and Wasaga Beach. Students enjoy a supportive school environment while still having access to nearby four-season recreation.
